• 30 percent plan to travel 50-250 miles round-trip.
• 9 percent plan to travel 251-400 miles round-trip.

and catch up on what's going on," she said. She said she appreciates the meaning behind the holiday more
than she does the fireworks. "I like that we have a day off that we can focus on our
country's [independence] because we so take it for granted,"
Saffran said. While she'll be staying in the state, some Maryland residents
will be traveling farther, according to an AAA Mid-Atlantic press
release. According to economic forecasting by IHS Global Insight and
provided by AAA Mid-Atlantic, nearly 750,000 Maryland residents are
expected to take a round trip of 50 or more miles during the Fourth
of July weekend, from Thursday to July 4. The AAA-Mid Atlantic news
release states this is a 2.9 percent decline from 2010 but still
the fourth-highest amount of expected travelers for this holiday
weekend during the past 10 years. Amy McLamb, a Westminster resident, said she normally attends
her family's reunion for the Fourth of July but with the reunion
being held in Tennessee - the location changes annually - she said
it was a little too far because of the economy and the number of
days her husband would have to take off work. She said they don't have plans yet, but will likely see the
fireworks at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Dottie Freeman, manager for the Farm Museum, said she estimates
close to 10,000 or more attendees, including guests from Carroll
County as well as other areas such as Baltimore, Frederick and
Hanover, Pa., will attend the annual fireworks display. Some tourist accommodations in other parts of the state are full
or expect to be full for the holiday weekend. Kelsey Cooper, a clerk at the Atlantic Hotel in Ocean City, said
the hotel is full for the night of July 4 and about 90 percent full
for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Last year, she said the hotel was completely booked all weekend
and she expects the same thing will happen this year.

Midatlantic AAA Gives Away Tickets | Disney World Tickets
Tis the season to pack your bags and hit the tourist trails – Walt Disney World, for one, would love to have you! Now that we are getting in on the beginnings of tourist season, it won’t be surprising to see that many groups and businesses start to give away Walt Disney World tickets. After all, the park is a very popular destination for families and individuals alike, and having a free ticket to the park is a great way to get a promotion or a product some positive attention.
For example, the Midatlantic AAA is currently launching a contest where winners will receive a seven-night vacation to Walt Disney World for four people. This will include a night in the Cinderella’s Castle Suite, breakfast, a six-day stay at a Disney Resort, six Magic Your Way theme park passes with a Park Hopper option, and roundtrip travel. This isn’t your mother’s ticket giveaway – the value of the contest prizes is estimated at 7,500.
Of course entry into this contest is restricted. If you are over the age of eighteen and are a resident of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, or DC, you are eligible for the contest, which is open until September 30, 2011. Be sure to keep your eyes open for contests like this. Of course, you shouldn’t put all of your hope into winning contests if you really want to get to Walt Disney World, but that doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t be great to win!
Purchasing tickets for your Disney World vacation can be a stressful endeavour. As you begin your online search you will quickly find many websites offering discounted tickets.
The question becomes who really has the lowest prices? Are these companies selling discounted tickets reputable? How do you know you aren't getting scammed? Well that is what we are here for. We have put in the time and research for you to determine where is is safe to purchase Discount Disney tickets from and who to stay away from.
In general, the sites offering cheap Disney tickets don't have large discounts on individual tickets, but when you are purchasing for a whole family for multiple days the savings can add up to hundreds of dollars which certainly would make it worth your while to consider.
There are two main types of companies offering discounted prices. Some companies will give you a discount on your Disney Tickets in return from visiting a time share. We generally don't recommend these types unless you are really interested in a time share or you will end up spending an entire day of your vacation wasted listing to sales pitches. The other type are simple e-commerce sites that have agreements with Disney to sell discounted tickets in return for doing a high volume of sales. Essentially they are buying tickets in bulk and reselling them thus getting you a discount. We prefer this option because there is no gimmick or catch to these tickets, they are simply less expensive then what you would pay at the gates!
