Twenty-Three (23) Adult Leaders from Toa Payoh & Ang Mo Kio District took part in the 3rd Series of what was used to titled as Bonding and Exchange (BE) session held on Saturday, 25 April 2009 at Scout HQ.  This year, the session was renamed "Akelaboree 2009" to signify a Gathering of Leaders.  The session kicked off with the Introduction by ARC Desmond Foo followed by an Address by ACC Lester Lee.  His address connected more to the SSA's 100 years of celebrations in 2010.  The DCs namely William Tan and KC Lai also presented their District past and upcoming events.  KC Lai informed that there was a drop of Job Week's earning in his District probably due to the current global crisis.  The first part of the session ended with a Q & A where leaders can raised issues that bother them.  Mr Alex Choo who is Deputy National Programme Commissioner, also gave a brief outline of the forthcoming NYP Syposium which will be held from 30-31 May 2009.   SSA Jamb100 cum 3rd Asean Jamboree will be held from 4-9 December 2010 at Sarimbun Scout Camp. P5-P6 Cub Scouts are strongly encouraged to participate as this Singapore Jamboree is organised once every 10 years. Some 3500 Scouts are expected to participate, including an estimated of 1,000 Scouts from 9 Countries are expected to be here. The local Camp Fee per head is $200.00 which will include all meals, attractive souvenirs such as badges, T-shirt and scraf. In addition, campers are expected to experience more than 100 on and off-site adventure activities. For Leaders aged above 18 years old, you can take this opportunity to be part of the Camp Staff team. You will need to pay $150 (for working adults) or $100 (if you are a full-time student currently with tertiary institutions /or is serving full-time National Service. Please feel free to contact your respective Unit Leaders for more details. A 3td Combined Investiture Ceremony for members of the Eagles Family will be held on Saturday, 6 Mar 10 hosted by Pei Chun Eagles. Led by TP Eagles (Open), more than 100 Cubs and Scouts from Bendemeer, First Toa Payoh Primary and Pei Chun Public School are expected to participate. Some 40 new members will be invested. The Guest-Of-Honour is Mr Lee Lip Hong, Principal of Pei Chun Public School. Parents and well-wishers have been invited for this occasion.
